Tavares Tree Service is a family owned and operated business, started in Oakland, CA in 1951. We were founded by John “JT” Tavares. Some of our past clients include: Travis Airforce Base, Lawrence Berkeley Lab, Lawrence Livermore Lab, Clairmont Hotel (palm trees), University of California at Berkeley, US Army on Yerba Buena Island, and a number of residential homes in the Oakland Hills. The company leadership was passed on to Ron Tavares (JT′s youngest son) after JT′s retirement. Ron has over 20 years experience working in this business. Has operated the company without accidents since he took over the lead role in the company.
